Remotely Controlled HD Camera Systems
NSI offers Canon remotely controlled HD pan-tilt camera systems for a wide variety of specialized point of view (POV) applications. The Canon BU-46H and XU-80W HD PTZ camera systems are ideal for applications such as traffic and weather monitoring, sports stadiums, and high-resolution outdoor security installations and other outdoor POV applications. The Canon BU-51H and XU-80 HD PTZ camera systems are ideal for applications such as houses of worship, legislative chambers, sports arenas, high-resolution indoor security installations, and other indoor POV applications. The BU-46H and BU-51H incorporate a Canon HD camera equipped with three 1/3-inch (1.67 million-pixel) CCD sensors (1440 H x 1080 V), a Canon HD zoom lens with 20x optical zoom ratio (4.5 - 90mm), an advanced Canon Auto Focus function, and Canon’s sophisticated Image Stabilizer technology. The BU-46H and BU-51H add a 2x digital extender option and enhanced night mode operation.
Building on the success of the BU-51H and BU-46H HD PTZ camera systems for higher-end applications, the XU-80 is optimized for both indoor and outdoor enviroments while providing a cost effective solution. The XU-80 has a single 1/3-inch CMOS imaging sensor with 2.1 megapixels. Utilizing a Canon 20x HD zoom lens, it captures exceptional, high-quality images in full-HDTV format. Dynamic Range Compensation allows for shooting in enviroments with a high contrast of light and shade (such as a building lobby on a sunny day) by automatically correcting the contrast of the video according to the range of scene illumination. With a waterproof and dustproof design featuring an IP55 enclosure rating, the XU-80 can be installed in challenging locations and is not affected by enviromental conditions. The XU-80W includes a servo ND filter and wiper unit for outdoor applications.
User Friendly Operation
Complete control and monitoring of the Canon BU-46H, BU-51H, XU-80 and XU-80W are provided by the NSI MC5 remote control system. The MC5 is a highly versatile system that provides control for a wide variety of equipment, including remote cameras, central receive systems, switchers and remote transmit systems.
The Preset function allows individual presets per remote camera system to be saved for instant recall. Each preset includes all of the camera, lens and pan/tilt settings. The Preset function is ideal for storing the settings of frequently used shots as well as rapidly switching between back-to-back shots.
The Tour function is ideal for on-air camera operation. Up to 32 tours per remote camera system can be saved for instant recall. Each user-defined tour includes up to 32 individual presets with selectable preset-to-preset time intervals and selectable dwell timer per preset. The presets of each tour can be executed in reverse order and each tour can be executed in a scan mode.
The Scene function allows up to 32 scenes per remote camera system to be saved for instant recall. Each scene includes the camera settings only and does not change the lens or pan/tilt settings.
Joystick ControlIn addition to the control of the camera system via the on-screen virtual joystick, a desktop joystick is available for proportional trim control of the pan, tilt, zoom and focus. The desktop joystick also includes user-defined buttons for the control of other camera functions or the execution of presets.
Multiple Site ControlA single MC5 master unit can control up to 99 remote camera systems and there is no limit to the number of remote camera systems each master unit can be connected with simultaneously. The MC5 can use a variety of methods for communications between the master units and the remote camera systems, such as 2- or 4-wire dedicated lines, dial up, IP, wireless modems or broadband wireless.
Networked Master UnitsMultiple MC5 master units can be networked together, each with user defined access to the remote sites and the equipment control panels.
Split Screen OperationMultiple equipment control panels can be displayed concurrently on the MC5 master unit monitor. Each equipment control panel is fully active, enabling the operator to monitor and control multiple sites and systems simultaneously. The multiple control panel display is user defined, ranging from 2 to 25 panels, and each equipment control panel can be switched to a full single panel mode at the touch of a button.
The MC5 features an advanced Administrator module that enables the user to custom tailor the system to meet the operational requirements of each application. Through the Administrator, the user can define all of the parameters of the remote camera system and the remote control, including the communications between the master and remote sites, the graphic display and operation of each equipment control panel.
